App Activation Issues
App shows “Deactivated” status
Symptoms:
- Dashboard shows “App Activation Status: Deactivated”
- Schema not appearing on store
Solutions:
- Activate via theme customizer
- Click the Activate button in the app
- In the theme editor, enable the app block
- Click Save in the theme editor
- Check theme compatibility
- Ensure you’re using a Shopify 2.0 theme
- Older themes may require manual installation
- Verify activation
- Return to the app dashboard
- Status should show “Activated”
Store under password protection
Symptoms:
- Warning message about password protection
- Google can’t crawl your schema
Solution:
- Go to Shopify Admin
- Navigate to Online Store → Preferences
- Disable Password protection
- Save changes
Note: Password-protected stores cannot be indexed by Google.
Schema Not Appearing
Schema enabled but not showing
Symptoms:
- Schema type is enabled in settings
- Testing shows no schema on page
Solutions:
- Verify app is activated
- Check dashboard for activation status
- Re-activate if necessary
- Clear caches
- Clear Shopify cache
- Clear CDN cache if applicable
- Hard refresh your browser (Ctrl+Shift+R)
- Check the correct page type
- Product schema only shows on product pages
- Article schema only shows on blog posts
- Home schema only shows on home page
- Test in Schema Testing tool
- Go to Schema Testing
- Enter your page URL
- Review results for errors
Product schema missing
Symptoms:
- Product Page Schema enabled
- No schema on product pages
Solutions:
- Verify plan
- Product Page Schema requires Pro or Advanced plan
- Upgrade if on Free plan
- Check product data
- Ensure products have required fields
- Price, title, and description are mandatory
- Images help with rich results
- Test specific product page
- Use Schema Testing with a product URL
- Check for specific errors
Search Console Issues
Can’t connect Google account
Symptoms:
- Connection fails or times out
- Permission errors
Solutions:
- Check Google account access
- Ensure you have Search Console access
- Verify property is verified
- Clear browser data
- Clear cookies for Google domains
- Try incognito/private browsing
- Try different browser
- Chrome, Firefox, or Safari
- Disable browser extensions
- Grant correct permissions
- Allow all requested permissions
- Don’t skip any permission prompts
No Search Console data
Symptoms:
- Connected successfully
- “No data available” message
Causes:
- New property
- Low traffic
- Wrong property selected
Solutions:
- Wait for data collection
- New properties need 1-2 weeks
- Google needs time to collect data
- Select correct property
- Click Change Property
- Choose your store’s domain
- Extend date range
- Select a longer time period
- Try “Last 3 months” or “Last 6 months”
URL inspection not working
Symptoms:
- Can’t inspect URLs
- Error messages when testing
Solutions:
- Check URL format
- Use complete URLs with https://
- URL must be from your connected property
- Verify page is indexed
- Page must exist on Google
- Recently published pages may not be indexed
- Re-connect Search Console
- Click Logout
- Connect again with fresh permissions
Schema Validation Errors
Missing required fields
Symptoms:
- Schema Testing shows errors
- “Missing required field” warnings
Solutions:
- Home Page Schema
- Fill in all required Shop Details
- Brand Name, Logo URL, Founding Date
- Product Schema
- Ensure products have prices
- Add product descriptions
- Include product images
- Local Business Schema
- Configure all business information
- Address, hours, contact details
Invalid format errors
Symptoms:
- “Invalid value” errors
- Format-related warnings
Common fixes:

- Upgrade if on Free plan
Billing Issues
Can’t upgrade plan
Solutions:
- Check Shopify billing
- Ensure payment method is valid
- Clear any outstanding charges
- Contact Shopify support
- Billing is handled by Shopify
- They can resolve payment issues
Features not available after upgrade
Solutions:
- Refresh the app
- Close and reopen the app
- Hard refresh the page
- Wait for activation
- New features may take a few minutes
- Log out and log back in
- Contact support
- If features still unavailable
- We can verify your subscription

Clear all caches
